The product is manufactured by mould injection process using "lexan", the same type of plastic used on the diving lips of Rapala crankbaits.

The short-term objective of Kuiskun Ltd. is the introduction of the following products;

i. gold, silver and multi-colored metallic material ingrained directly into the plastic body to enhance its reflective properties;

The medium-term objective is to experiment with and introduce other versions of the product through the direct injection of natural and fluorescent colors into the plastic body during the manufacturing process.

The angler will be able to manipulate the color of the lure by changing the cover and not the lure.

The long-term objective based on consumer acceptance of the product is to gradually introduce various models and sizes of the product for use with other spoon lures sold in North America.

Technical assistance provided by the National Research Council of Canada has been extremely helpful for the advancement of the product and contact is still maintained with the department.
